LATEST NEWS:

Film Festival

A big thank you to all who attended the second annual Tropical Alternatives Film Festival on the 26th. Although the numbers were small, those who did attend had a great day and hopefully over the coming years the film festival will grow to be a major event on the gay and lesbian social calendar.

Those who did attend were treated to fantastic array of performances including a death-defying acro-balance circus duet, spectacular hula-hooping show and a balloon contortionist who was able to produce an amazing assortment of colourful creations.

On top of the wonderful entertainment was of course, a fine selection of local and international gay and lesbian films that showcased the lived experience of our community, in a way that is not often seen in Rockhampton.

A special thank you must go to the volunteers who gave their time to assist on the day. Thank you all very much!

A big thank you must also go to Nicky and Stacy from The Anti-Matter Circus for their outstanding performances and to the effervescent Monique from Party 2 U for the amazing balloon creations.
